London Market Bordereaux Field Guide
London Market and delegated authority workflows depend on structured bordereaux data. Column names vary, but the same review questions come up again and again: who is insured, what period applies, what premium or claim amount is being reported, and does the row belong inside the binder or reporting period?
Common premium bordereaux fields
- UMR, binder reference, policy reference, insured name, inception date, expiry date, transaction date, transaction type, gross premium, commission, tax, territory, class, and currency.
- Risk address, occupation, construction, sum insured, and exposure fields where property or specialty risk data is involved.
Common claims bordereaux fields
- Claim reference, policy reference, loss date, notification date, paid, reserve, incurred, status, cause of loss, claimant, territory, and currency.
- Large-loss markers, catastrophe code, recovery, deductible, and open/closed development fields where available.
